My Dad Said He Loved Me

his dad just died and i know there are parts about me that are the exact replica of him and grandpa.
him and gramp had a falling out cause of the jw religion.. anyways, i had the funny feeling that my dad has been looking at things differently lately, but, i know he won't say much cause he's in way too deep at this point.. he came up to me the other night, and said he really loved me.

You do have places to turn to. Just the fact that you have hundreds, if not thousands posting and reading here means that your heartfelt expressions are not falling on deaf ears. Keeping a journal is a great way of working through your thoughts and emotions. Plus it takes discipline and dedication to keep it going for so many years. Lots of us here can relate to what you're going through. Most of us survive the painful growing pains of leaving the Borg and some of us even thrive because of having to learn the survival skills required to plan and effect an escape from it. You are loved and understood here.

by oppostate inat today's special assembly in natick ma, bro brown payne annouced to the audience that serena williams was disciplined by her local elders for her swearing escapade on tv.. saying: "can jehovah's witnesses swear like that on tv?
" then he told the audience that she was "disciplined" by the elders of the congregation she's a publisher in.. doesn't this smack of revealing the private business of another person?
the most the local elders could have said was "a matter concerning serena williams has been handled by the elder body".

it offers a highly sanitized version of early jw history.
but what is particularly strange is this revisionist history re-categorizing of an early bible student/jw, one hugo riemer.

Since 4/8/2008In answer to Free @ Last, Hayden Covington never professed to be of the anointed, yet he served as a director (Vice President) of the WTS during the time when the Governing Body was said to be associated with the directors of the Society. As well, this is the mishegoss that allows Hugo Riemer to be viewed as a member of the Governing Body.
Thanks for the answer DNC. So I suppose this is really opening the door to naming more non-anointed members to the GB. It's already been done retroactively. So interesting. An other sheepel = GB member = part of the FDS (at least on Wednesday mornings). This is really getting hilarious
How long until they make this bit of new light official? I can just see a family member of mine trying out for the next appointment.
